What’s it about: WALL-E, the last robot on a deserted Earth, falls in love with a droid named EVE, who is sent to search for signs of life.
Eye-popping: This film will blow your mind with its vision of futuristic Earth, left as a massive junk heap by fleeing humans, who have gone to live on a luxury space station. Which leaves little WALL-E, a garbage disposal unit who has learned to think for himself. It may be a computer-animated film from Pixar (“Finding Nemo”) but this is the most amazing film of the summer – and not just for kids. In fact, it could be the year’s most touching and funny romantic comedy, with a love story involving a pair of robots – and robots who don’t really say anything other than their own names.
The humor will appeal to all ages, the action is breathtakingly exciting and this movie about a pair of metallic soulmates has heart to spare. Who would have thought that the summer’s best date movie would be animated?
Long story short: This movie is programmed for pure pleasure.
