Who's in it: Larry David, Evan Rachel Woods, Patricia Clarkson
What's it about: An aging physicist (David) marries a Southern teen (Woods), to the outrage of his mother (Clarkson).
NYC romance: This is Woody Allen's first New York-based comedy since 2004 - and David ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") seems the perfect Allen character. He's dissatisfied, cranky and overthinks everything. But he can't figure out love - or why he's willing to give up his no-women rule for the willowy Woods. This one's getting some negative reactions but give it a chance: David is funny and Woods has a winning way as a young woman willing to be taught by an older man. Clarkson and Ed Begley Jr. are both funny as her distraught parents.
Long story short: It's low-key but cute.
