"Idol" Whitney Port Goes Back to School!

Whitney Port was big woman on campus yesterday.

No, she's not giving up on her reality show to go back to school — she simply visited the Indiana University campus in Bloomington on Wednesday to emcee the Victoria's Secret PINK Nation B-Town Bash.

Whit was joined by cohost Behati Prinsloo, DJ Girl Talk, Cobra Starship (who played at Star's recent anniversary bash) and a local band called Dot Dot Dot.

The coeds went wild having stars in town — especially The City star, who maneuvered a golf campus around campus and was ambushed by screaming fans.

“I reached out and shook her hand as she was driving away, then started crying,” sophomore Julie Jarasek told Indiana Daily Student. “When I found out Whitney was coming, I literally had a panic attack. She’s my idol.”

While it sounds to me like Julie Jarasek needs to get out there and see more of the world — Whitney is really her idol? — sounds like a good time was had by all.

I think it is natural for girls to look up to people on tv as idols. If you think about it most of us looked up to someone we watched. I think she works hard and designed her own line she had to intern for years before getting the good break. She tend to stay out of the drama even though sometimes her friends have it. Much better her then kristen cavalari!

I don't know about her being an idol but I think she's good role model material. She doesn't have her head up her butt like other reality stars **cough**Speidi**cough** and she demonstrates that you actually have to work to make it in the world.
