Britney Spears Said to Be Crushing on Ben Affleck After His Supportive Comments
Her knight in shining armor! After Ben Affleck recently shared how he empathized with Britney Spears’ past struggles, sources tell Star the troubled pop princess has developed a crush on the Batman v Superman star.
Talking about her notorious, much-photographed breakdowns on an episode of the This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von podcast, Ben was sympathetic, saying, “I don’t know her, but I do know the cycle of having people harangue you and yell at you and follow you… I thought, ‘This is [cruel].’”
“For Britney, it means a lot to hear Ben sticking up for her,” says an insider. “She’s always admired him.”
And then some, apparently: Not long ago, the 43-year-old claimed on Instagram that she and the Oscar winner, 52, had “made out” once in the past. (Though the mom of two admitted, “I honestly forgot” that the two had locked lips!)
Now, says the insider, the “Toxic” singer is eager to rekindle the flame. “She thinks Ben is so sexy and suave and could be a kind of father figure who would shield her,” says the insider. “She’s trying to get ahold of his number. Ben has no idea what he was getting into. Britney’s tenacious!”
