Justin Bieber is sharing his inner thoughts with the world again.

The 31-year-old pop star made multiple posts on Friday, March 9, calling himself “selfish” and highlighting his personal struggles.

“I’m just an average flawed guy, I’ve done things that have hurt others. I continue to do and say things that hurt others unintentionally,” he wrote in the first post set to the song “Blame U” by Odeal. “Yet I woke up this morning with another opportunity to grow and not be so selfish today.”

The former teen heartthrob detailed the power of love, writing in part, “Love helps u to forgive and love even your enemies.”

The Grammy Award winner expanded on feeling self-centered in a second post set to the song “Mas Que Nada” by the band Sergio Mendes & Brasil ’66.

“I sometimes think I’m gonna get exposed if I tell people how selfish I am. Like if I admitted that, maybe people wouldn’t like me or trust me,” he penned. “I thought if I was honest about the selfish things I was feeling that I was gonna be disqualified from the dreams I had of being included. But the more honest I am about where I really am. The more freedom I actually have.”

In his last post, Justin shared a photo of a bird accompanied by a lengthy caption, where he noted he sometimes feels “optimistic” and other times “pessimistic” and talked about his relationship with god.

“I can’t control how I’m gonna feel, I would find myself even subconsciously blaming god for the bad feeling I woke up with rather than communicate with him and ask him to help me have a change of perspective,” the “Peaches” singer wrote in part. “I’ve been really asking god to help me see the best in people. Even after being used in the way I have.”

Justin concluded his post by writing, “Once again it’s easier to point the finger than it is to take ownership. It’s easy to say damn they’re greedy rather than to check the greed in our own hearts. Only god can remove the greed and selfishness from our hearts. Trying harder won’t work. Cuz I tried lol.”

This series of Instagram posts is not the first time Justin has admitted to feeling egocentric. In March, he shared a similar sentiment on his Instagram Story, posting that people wouldn’t say he deserved certain things if they knew how “selfish” he truly was.

The chart-topping singer caught heat earlier this year because of what the public perceived as odd behavior. However, his rep told TMZ in February that the rumors about him struggling with his physical and mental health are “exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”
