The news sounded familiar: Once again, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were suffering a staff shake-up, with multiple members of their team exiting.
According to Hello!, the departures include a deputy press secretary, the head of operations and the director of communications at the couple’s philanthropic Archewell Foundation. Per the Daily Mail, a personal assistant and Meghan’s social media manager also put in their notice.
It’s not a good look for the former Suits star, 43, who was dubbed a “dictator in high heels” and “Duchess Difficult” by ex staffers in a memorable 2024 Hollywood Reporter exposé about the “Sussex Survivors Club.”

But don’t expect her or Harry, 40 — who recently broke their own rule and showed their kids’ faces on social media — to say anything about their revolving-door workplace.
“Meghan is trying to play down the latest drama,” an insider tells Star. “She’s saying she and Harry are better off without people who don’t want to be there.” (A rep for the couple tells Star they are “transitioning” to “an agency support staff.”)
Still, the exits are causing some chaos. “Once again, they have to deal with staffing,” notes the insider. “Plus they have to worry about what these disgruntled types may say now that they’re off the payroll.”
Presumably the pair makes anyone in their employ sign strict non-disclosure agreements. Yet that didn’t stop one past staffer from telling The Hollywood Reporter, “Everyone’s terrified of Meghan. She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice… And she’s just terrible.”
