Richard Gere’s wife, Alejandra Gere, marked Mother’s Day in Spain by sharing a rare photo of her children.

On Sunday, May 4 — the official Mother’s Day in Spain — the 42-year-old publicist took to her Instagram to share a sweet snap of herself with her three sons. Alejandra shares Alexander, 5, and James, 4, with the 75-year-old legendary actor. She also has an 11-year-old son, Albert, from her marriage to Govin Friedland. Meanwhile, the Pretty Woman actor is a dad to son Homer, 25, from his marriage to Carey Lowell.

In the photo, Alejandra poses with her boys on the beach. She wore a maxi dress while the kids donned shorts and collared shirts. The activist put heart emojis on her children’s faces, seemingly to protect their privacy.

Alejandra penned a heartfelt caption — originally written in Spanish — about all the mothers in the world, writing, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the women who give life, who care, who fight, who fall and get up a thousand times for love. To the mothers who do everything recklessly but with a full heart, to those who don’t give up, to those who laugh, cry, scream, and love with all their being.”

Alejandra continued, “Today, more than ever, my heart goes out to the mothers who suffer, especially those who experience the horror of war, separation, loss, or fear. This day is for them. For their silent strength, for their invincible love, for their hope that never fades even in the midst of pain.”

“Because being a mother is about endurance. It is about continuing to love, even when the world falls apart,” she added.

Alejandra concluded her post by writing, “Today we celebrate them all. Those who are here, those who have passed away, those who raise children in freedom, and those who do so amidst the rubble. I embrace them with all my heart. #happymothersday.”

The American Gigolo actor and Alejandra wed in 2018. The couple sold their Connecticut home in October 2024 and moved to Madrid, partly to be closer to Alejandra’s family, later that year.

The mother of three spoke to Daily Mail last month, telling the outlet the family would live in the United States again one day.

“For a few years [we’ll live in Spain], and then come back,” she remarked. “But we’re always coming back. We’ll come back here in the summer because we have the kids at camp. We just have to balance our lives there and here.”
