Todd and Julie Chrisley’s first 48 hours of freedom included steak, pasta, salad and potatoes. “We had a smorgasboard,” daughter Savannah said of welcoming the incarcerated couple home early from prison during an episode of her Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley podcast. “My parents enjoyed it and loved it. I’m over-the-moon excited.”

Cameras, of course, were there to capture it all as Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were reunited three years after they were convicted of evading taxes and defrauding banks of more than $30 million to support their over-the-top lifestyle they showcased on the reality show Chrisley Knows Best.

Dodging photographers, the couple opted to record their own story in hopes of selling it as another reality show — and it’s possible it will be on the same Lifetime docuseries the Chrisley family has been filming since Todd and Julie went away.  “I think with this new series, you will see the first time he and mom see each other for the first time,” teased Savannah, according to People.

The 27-year-old was behind the effort to secure a presidential pardon for the couple, who have raised five children between them. And, says a source, she is as eager as her parents to cash in via reality TV. Notes the insider, “Even if they don’t have to pay the rest of the $17 million in restitution, Todd and Julie are drowning in debts and bills.”

Still, the question remains whether fans will return to watch the duo, who according to prosecutors, built an empire “based on the lie that their wealth came from dedication and hard work” and were “career swindlers who made a living by jumping from one fraud scheme to another, lying to banks, stiffing vendors and evading taxes.”

Says the insider, “The critics are already coming after them, sniping they don’t deserve this pardon.”
