Tom Cruise Kicks Off Popcorn-Movie Season With ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’
In Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Ethan Hunt’s (Tom Cruise) is presented with his eighth mission — and no surprise, he has chosen to accept it. The world is once again on the brink of disaster and the government is forced to call up Hunt’s team.
But as always, plot takes a backseat to Cruise’s breathtaking stunts. The actor jumps off a skyscraper, rides a motorcycle off a mountain, hangs onto the wing of a 1930s plane mid-flight — a stunt so difficult he passed out — and does an underwater sequence so dangerous director Christopher McQuarrie said he wanted to “puke” just thinking about it.
But what better way to kick off popcorn-movie season?
