Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore) is a member of the .001 percent whose glamour and life of uber-luxury has cast a spell on her new assistant Devon (Meghann Fahy), who has just arrived at Michaela’s Martha’s Vineyard-esque beach estate. Over the course of Memorial Day weekend, Devon and the vast staff are in a frenzy, prepping for the festivities, which are — naturally — perfectly curated.

But then Devon’s sister Simone (Milly Alcock) unexpectedly arrives, throwing a wrench in the otherwise orderly proceedings. Even Simone’s outfit — punk, all black, combat boots — is a 180 from her Lilly Pulitzer–clad sister. When Simone sees how captivated Devon is with the luxe life, she tries to stage an intervention, but Michaela doesn’t take kindly to her interference and puts up a formidable defense.

While Michaela’s lavish lifestyle is the ultimate aspiration for every Real Housewife type, this funny — and very timely — dark comedy explores the hidden cost of unimaginable riches.

Sirens | Official Trailer | Premieres Thurs., May 22, on Netflix
